Kim Humphreys is a Board Level Executive with an in-depth knowledge of the public and private sectors and a track record at motivating people to transform services in complex environments.

After a 20 year dual-track career working in both commercial banking, heading Mizuho Corporate Banks European syndicated loan activities and serving as Deputy Leader & Executive Member for Housing at Southwark Council, London’s largest social landlord, Kim founded Carvil Ventures to build on his experience and expertise in order to offer his clients creative entrepreneurial real estate solutions.  

Key achievements included:

• Leading the housing for Southwark’s ₤1.7 billion on-going re-development at Elephant & Castle, one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects, which was nominated for Local Government Chronicle Awards in 2008.
• Introducing improvements to increase staff efficiency and transform services provided by external partners through the “100 Days of Change”, generating the highest customer satisfaction increase by a London Council in the 2008 IPSOS MORI Place survey.
• Spending 20 years working in the financial markets arranging large-scale loans in Europe, Africa and the Middle East including the first loans facility for a South African institution after the lifting of sanctions. Kim was Chairman of the Loan Market Association, the trade association for the European loan markets where he was actively involved in finding new sources of finance for the loans market.
• Kim has been the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate in Camberwell and Peckham (1997) and Dulwich and West Norwood (2005). 
• He was a London Business School Sloan Fellow in 2010 having completed a Masters in Strategy & Leadership.

Kim is an effective spokesman in dealing with local and national media and able to work in challenging environments and is experienced in developing new business opportunities for public and private partnerships.

When it comes to housing and regeneration, Catherine has a matchless blend of private and public sector experience to offer to Carvil’s clients.  She has been the politician responsible for delivering complex, high value schemes.  And she has also worked at the heart of the UK’s home building industry. 

She is as comfortable discussing the respective merits of CIL/SIL with a local resident, as with the local MP. 

Key achievements include:

• Catherine served for 12 years as a senior councillor in the London Borough of Southwark. As Deputy Leader of the Council & Executive Member for Regeneration she was in charge of delivering high profile schemes at Bermondsey, Canada Water, Elephant & Castle and Peckham.

• After standing down from the Council in 2014 Catherine worked for two years as an adviser and speech writer for Tony Pidgley CBE, Chairman of the Berkeley Group, London’s largest residential developer.
• She has many years experience as a Planning Committee member and was Vice-Chair of Southwark’s Licensing Committee between 2010-11.

A non-practising barrister, Catherine is a skillful communicator and an experienced media performer.  

Nick has worked in the Marketing and Communications field since 1989, working with a wide range of blue chip clients across a variety of business sectors. For the last ten years has has run his own consultancy – Neon Marcomms, and his team provides a range of support services to Carvil Ventures, including : branding, website design and build, advertising, graphics, brochures and printed materials.
