Southernwood Retail Park, Old Kent Road

Carvil was appointed by the Strathclyde Regional Fund to assist it with its plans to bring forward a comprehensive redevelopment of the Southernwood Retail Park on the Old Kent Road including 724 residential units including 219 affordable homes and a 48-storey tower, over 2,500sqm of new shops, cafes and restaurants, a three-screen cinema and a 195-room hotel as well as new public spaces and routes across the site.  In its role as public affairs and engagement advisor Carvil arranged two two-day public exhibitions, organised a public website and arranged a series of meetings with key local

47-49 Tanner Street

Carvil was engaged by Legal & General to assist it with its redevelopment plans for 47-49 Tanner Street and to secure a planning approval to remodel the existing warehouse building on site and extend the building to the side utilising the open-yard space and upwards, with the addition of four storeys creating a new commercial scheme of approximately 5,962 sqm.  As well as arranging a series one-to-one meetings with key stakeholders Carvil arranged a one-day public exhibition.  A planning application was submitted in Spring 2018 and approved by Planning Committee in October 2018.

160 Blackfriars Road

Carvil was appointed by Endurance Land to assist it with its plans to develop a hotel in the car park of 160 Blackfriars Road together with new retail units, co-working space and a new public yard to add to the on-going regeneration of Blackfriars Road.  As well as arranging a series one-to-one meetings with key stakeholders Carvil arranged a one-day public exhibition. A planning application was submitted in Spring 2018 and following a judicial review that confirmed hotel use on the site a fresh planning application was submitted that obtained planning approval in July 2020.

6-12 Verney Road

Carvil was appointed by Argon Capital to assist it in its plans to redevelop its sites on Verney Road to create a mixed-use scheme in three buildings providing up to 340 residential units, flexible commercial space, retail and community space and extensive public realm linking into a proposed linear park running along the course of the old Surrey Canal. As well as arranging a series of one-to-one meetings with key stakeholders Carvil arranged a two-day public exhibition in July 2017.

67-71 Tanner Street

Carvil was engaged by Deco Design & Build to assist it with its redevelopment plans for 67-71 Tanner Street and to secure a planning approval for a commercial scheme with ground floor retail use in an eight-storey building with the potential to create over 250 new jobs.  As well as arranging a series one-to-one meetings with key stakeholders Carvil arranged a one-day public exhibition.  A planning application was submitted in December 2016 and approved unanimously at Planning Committee in July 2017.

Friars Bridge Court, 41-45 Blackfriars Road

Carvil was engaged by Kennedy Wilson to assist it with its redevelopment of the Friars Bridge Court to secure approval for a 20-storey office building with ground floor retail uses. Carvil assisted Kennedy Wilson providing public affairs and stakeholder engagement services including arranging 18 meetings with key local stakeholders including as well as attending a series of public meetings and arranging a two-day public exhibition.  A planning application was submitted in March 2016 and received planning committee approval in July 2016.

The Smokery, 18-19 Crimscott Street

Carvil was appointed to assist with the redevelopment of this former light industrial site to create a new office development with the potential to create over 440 new jobs.  Carvil worked with the developers arranging a series of consultation meetings with key stakeholders as well as arranging a one-day public exhibition of the redevelopment plans. A planning application was submitted in February 2016 and successfully determined in May 2016.

Borough Yards, Stoney Street

Carvil was engaged to assist with redevelopment of Vinopolis and Thames House to create a mixed-use scheme within the arches and on the Thames House site including retail (including fashion/boutiques), offices, cultural uses and restaurants.  Carvil provided public affairs and stakeholder engagement services and arranged over 15 meetings with key local stakeholders as well as attending a series of public meetings and arranging a two-day public exhibition. A planning application was submitted in August 2015 and following a series of revisions to the scheme increasing the level of public real

87 Newington Causeway

Carvil was engaged by Neobrand to assist it with its plans to redevelop 87 Newington Causeway to provide a mixed-use scheme comprising residential units, including on-site affordable housing and a new hotel. Carvil led the public affairs and stakeholder engagement programme that involved arranging a two two-day public exhibition in May 2014 as well as arranging meetings with key stakeholders.

Elephant & Castle Town Centre

Carvil was engaged by Delancey to assist it with its acquisition of the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre.  Subsequent to the acquisition Carvil was appointed by Delancey to provide it with strategic public affairs services and to lead the consultation on the planning application to deliver a new town centre for Elephant & Castle.
