Carvil was engaged to assist with redevelopment of Vinopolis and Thames House to create a mixed-use scheme within the arches and on the Thames House site including retail (including fashion/boutiques), offices, cultural uses and restaurants. Carvil provided public affairs and stakeholder engagement services and arranged over 15 meetings with key local stakeholders as well as attending a series of public meetings and arranging a two-day public exhibition. A planning application was submitted in August 2015 and following a series of revisions to the scheme increasing the level of public realm and providing a detailing servicing plan the scheme received unanimous approval from Southwark’s Planning Committee in July 2016. Carvil continues to assist Meyer Bergman as it builds out the Borough Yards development.
Carvil continues to assist Meyer Bergman as it builds out the Borough Yards development. Most recently it helped secured both licensing approvals in July 2021 for the 14 bars and restaurants opening at the development towards the end of 2021 and the amendments to the planning application to increase the number of F&B units within the development to 45% of the retail floor space.
