Carvil was engaged by Fairview New Homes to provide a political audit of its prospects of securing a successful planning to redevelop the old Surrey Docks Stadium site creating 101 new homes on the old depot buildings, a three and a half acre community park and a linked scheme to upgrade St Paul’s Fields to create a new community sports hub an a new home for Fisher FC. 

Carvil produced a report highlighting the key political risk associated with a scheme there that assisted Fairview in its decision to acquire the Surrey Docks stadium site.  Carvil was subsequently engaged by Fairview to lead the public affairs and stakeholder consultation programme associated with the planning application arranging meetings with the key politicians and stakeholders as well as organising a public exhibition and securing unanimous support from Southwark’s Planning Committee when the matter was determined in July 2014.

Construction of both the St Paul’s Stadium and the housing are complete with Fisher FC going to strength to strength in its new stadium.  Southwark Council acquired the affordable housing within the scheme.
